Parosmia Awareness Day

June 27

This date was chosen because

it is four months after

Anosmia Awareness Day

(February 27)

which is the approximate amount of time that it takes for parosmia

to develop in someone

who is recovering from anosmia.

Fifth Sense

Fifth Sense, the UK-based charity for people affected by smell and taste disorders, holds free on-line events for people affected by smell and taste dysfunction.

I support their #LetsTalkSmellAndTaste Parosmia Support Group events by volunteering as a co-host. These informal online meetings are a great way to share your thoughts and feelings about living with a distorted sense of smell with other people who understand.

Their next #LTSAT Parosmia Support Group event will take place on

Weds 12 June, 7.00 - 8.15 pm UK time

Bookings usually open around three weeks ahead of each event.

You can sign up for free here https://www.fifthsense.org.uk/join/ to become a Fifth Sense member and receive mailings from Fifth Sense. It’s a great way to be kept informed about booking your place on Fifth Sense events, and to find out about the work the charity is doing to support, inform and raise awareness of smell and taste disorders.
